Installing Pulse 2

Installing the Pulse 2 Client 

This guide will instruct you how to install the Pulse 2 client on Windows PCs. The guide will contain step by step instructions along with screenshots for reference, if needed.

The install process

  1. Locate the installer for your Pulse 2 version
    1. If you are unsure on where to find this installer, this may be known by your IT
    2. Alternatively, you can ask support@itspectrum.co.uk for the location of the installer


  1. Double click the install application to begin the installation
  2. When the setup starts, accept the Ts&Cs and then click Install


  1. Click yes to any prompts which show during the install process
    1. Please ensure these are for Pulse2 before clicking Yes


  1. Once the installation is complete, you will be presented with a setup wizard


  1. Accept the End-User Licenses Agreement and click Next


  1. Select the Typical install option


  1. On the next page, select Install


  1. Once the installation is complete, select Finish


  1. Select Close on the Pulse2 installation window


Configuring the login

  1. Open Pulse2
  2. Double click the "Login" button to bring up the server connection settings



  1. Enter the connection details for Pulse2
    1. You may need to contact support@itspectrum.co.uk for this information
  2. Click Save once the information has been entered and this should be outlined in green
    1. You may need to click the Save button twice for this to go green. The first time, it may go red


  1. Click Save once this is green to close the window
  2. Ensure the authentication is set to "Windows Authentication"


  1. Click Login and as long as the user is set up in Pulse, they will be logged in
