Installing Therefore™ Online

Installing Therefore Online

This guide will go thorugh the process of installing the Therefore Online client, as opposed to the on-premise client. The guide for on-premise can be found here. In order to install this, you will need to be a Therefore Online customer, know your Online Tenant URL and have permission to install software on your PC.

Acquiring the Installer

  1. You can acquire the most up-to-date Installer using the below link (You would enter the Tenant Name accordingly);
    https://(tenant name).thereforeonline.com/Client/Download/Therefore%20Online%20Client.zip
Alternatively use the below steps;
  1. Open your browser and navigate to your TF Online Tenant URL
    1. This will be https://<tenant>.thereforeonline.com
            

  1. Enter you credentials and log in:
      

  1. Once logged in, navigate to File > Options


  1. From here, select Download


  1. On the next page, select the Download Icon:


  1. Once downloaded, run the Therefore installer application



  • When prompted if you would like to let the application make changes to the computer, select Yes.

    • Please note that in some cases, you may need credentials entering from a user who is an administrator - this is usually your IT department/supplier

    • Multiple prompts may pop up when running this, ensure these are for Therefore and then confirm these.



  • If prompted, install any prerequisites required for the Therefore installation.




  • In the installer wizard, untick ‘Check online for latest version’ and click next > next > accept and next



  • Select the region where you are based



  • Agree to the End-User License Agreement



  • On the Setup Type, select custom



  • For the install location, you can leave this as default unless your IT team state otherwise



  • Install entire features for: 

    • Navigator

    • Microsoft Explorer 

    • Microsoft Office 



  • Once the relevant features have been selected, click Next 

  • Tick the box for connecting using XML service and enter your tenant address (https://{tenant_name}.thereforeonline.com/TheXMLServer - note "TheXMLServer" on the end). The tenant name will also need entering

      • If you are unsure of your tenant information, please contact support@spectrum.tech and we will be happy to provide you with this information



  • On the final page, select Install

 

  • Select Run/Yes to any prompts that show during the installation phase

  • Once finished, untick "Launch Therefore Navigator" and click Finish
