Making Adjustments in Machforms

Making Changes in Machforms

This guide will take you through the process of making adjustments to existing forms within your Machforms solution. You will require access to the Machforms admin console and have the relevant permissions to make changes to forms. In this guide, we will be changing the text in plain text fields as changes were required.

The process

  1. Navigate to your Machforms admin portal in your browser
    1. This will be http(s)://<servername>/forms
    2. If you are unsure on your Machforms address, the Spectrum Support Team can provide you with this
  2. Log into the Machforms portal
    1. These will be the details sent to you when you account was created
      1. If you do not have an account, you can request this at support@spectrum.tech
  3. Navigate to the "Manage Forms" section
      
  1. Click the form you wish to edit and then select "Edit"
      
  1. Select the field you wish to edit
    1. In this case, we will be changing a text field
      
  1. Once you have selected your field, a new section will appear down the right-hand side. This is where you can change the displayed text
  2. We will be changing the "Default Value" section for this particular field (red outline)
    1. You can expand this box by dragging the bottom right corner of the box (blue outline)
      
  1. Once you have made the changes you require, scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Save Form"
      
Ensure not to click "Delete" as this will permanently remove the form

You changes have now been saved and applied to the form in question.
