Configuring OAuth on MFDs for scan-to-email

Prior to following the instructions in this guide, please ensure that that the OAuth 2.0 (Microsoft/Google) Settings buttons are available within the printer's Remote User Interface (RUI). If these are not visible as demonstrated below, please update the printer's firmware to the latest release.

SMTP/POP Settings:

  1. Login to the printer RUI and navigate to: Settings / Registration > Function Settings > Send > Network Settings - E-Mail/I-Fax Settings.
  2. Populate the highlighted fields, if the "Check password" checkbox is visible then make sure it is ticked and that the password fields are blank, then click OK:

OAuth 2.0 (Microsoft) Configuration:

  1. Within the RUI, navigate to: Settings / Registration Function Settings Send > OAuth 2.0 (Microsoft) Settings.
  2. Select Edit... in the top-right corner.
  3. Toggle the "Use OAuth 2.0 (Microsoft)" checkbox.
  4. Populate the Microsoft Entra ID Authorization Server Endpoint with: https://login.microsoftonline.com/organizations/oauth2/v2.0
  5. Click OK, this should now look like the below: 

Authorization Configuration

  1. Make a note of the User Code and then click on the Microsft Entra ID Authorization Endpoint link as shown below:

  2. A new tab should open with a prompt for the code, enter your User Code from the previous section here.
  3. Proceed ahead with the on-screen login instructions. A successful login should return the below message:


  4.  If this was successful, you should be able to refresh the page and now see the Token Status change to Active.
