Updating a Certificate Thumbprint in Qliksense

How to update a certificate in Qlik

This guide will instruct you through how to update the SSL certificate thumbprint within Qliksense so this can be accessed securely using HTTPS. You will need to have permission to access the Qlik Management Console (QMC) and access to the "Proxies" section.

How to update the thumbprint

  1. Log into the QMC
    1. This will be your usual Qlik URL but instead of ending with "Hub", this will end with "QMC"
            
  1. Navigate to the Proxies section

  1. Tick the "Security" property down the right-hand side


  1. For the "SSL browser certificate thumbprint", enter the thumbprint of your certificate
    1. Ensure that the spaces are removed and there are no hidden characters on the beginning or end of this

  1. Once this is done, click "Apply" at the bottom of the page
  2. Finally, restart the Qliksense Services
    1. If you restart the "Qlik Sense Repository Database" service, this will in turn restart the rest
