Increasing Record Count for Drop-Down Box

In Therefore, a drop-down box can only show a certain number of records; this is to ensure the performance of the searches are affected as little as possible. This article will guide you through the process of increasing how many records will show in a dropdown box in Therefore to ensure you can see as many records as you need.

The Process in Solution Designer

  1. Open the Therefore Solution Designer
  2. Right-click Therefore at the top of the page and select "Settings"


  1. Once the settings page has opened, select the "Advanced" tab


  1. In the search box, search for "Max"
  2. The record that requires changing is "Max Size of Keyword list"


  1. You can change this to be any value and that is how many records will show in a dropdown box.
Please note that the higher the number, the more information this will need to pull down from the server.
If the value is too high, Therefore performance may degrade due to the amount of information being retrieved.
  1. Once the number has been changed, click "OK"
