Changing IRISXtract Service Account Passwords

Introduction

If you have IRISXtract and find yourself needing to change the passwords of the service accounts, please note there are some additional steps required to register these changes within the application for the server and each client installation.

Pre-requisites

  1. All IRISXtract services have been stopped and disabled on the server.
    1. IRISXtract WOM NodeAgent
    2. IRISXtract WOM Controller
    3. IRISXtract WOM Server
  2. All IRISXtract services have been stopped and disabled on each individual client.
    1. IRISXtract WOM NodeAgent

Server Instructions

  1. Change the password of the relevant service account(s).
  2. Logon to the IRISXtract server.
  3. Open 'X4D Powershell Console'.
  4. Run the following command: Set-WomWorkerPassword -Domain <MyNewDomain> -Password <MyNewPassword> -UserName <MyNewUserName> with the credentials for the xtract_worker account.
  5. Open 'Services'.
  6. Right-click the 'IRISXtract WOM Controller' service.
  7. Select 'Properties'.
  8. Change the 'Startup type' to 'Automatic (Delayed Start)'.
  9. Select 'Log On'.
  10. Enter the new password for the 'xtract_worker' user.
  11. Select 'Apply'.
  12. Right-click the 'IRISXtract WOM NodeAgent' service.
  13. Select 'Properties'.
  14. Change the 'Startup type' to 'Manual'.
  15. Select 'Log On'.
  16. Enter the new password for the 'xtract_agent' user.
  17. Select 'Apply'.
  18. Right-click the 'IRISXtract WOM Server' service.
  19. Select 'Properties'.
  20. Change the 'Startup type' to 'Automatic'.
  21. Select 'Log On'.
  22. Enter the new password for the 'xtract_server' user.
  23. Select 'Apply'.
  24. Start the 'IRISXtract WOM Server' service.
  25. Start the 'IRISXtract WOM Controller' service.
  26. Start the 'IRISXtract WOM NodeAgent' service.

Client Instructions

  1. Open 'Services'.
  2. Right-click the 'IRISXtract WOM NodeAgent' service.
  3. Select 'Properties'.
  4. Change the 'Startup type' to 'Manual'.
  5. Select 'Log On'.
  6. Enter the new password for the 'xtract_agent' user.
  7. Select 'Apply'.
  8. Start the 'IRISXtract WOM NodeAgent' service.
